The Look, Lock & Leave Child Alarm is designed to provide an audible alarm to alert the driver to complete a visual check of the vehicle before exiting.
The device achieves this by requiring the driver (or responsible adult) to physically attend to the rear of the vehicle to prevent the alarm from sounding.
This required step helps ensure the driver completes their visual checks of the vehicle prior to exiting therefore ensuring no child remains on the bus.
FUNCTION
- When the ignition of the vehicle is turned off the driver has 30 seconds to make their way to the rear of the vehicle and press a deactivation button that will stop the siren from sounding.
- The device will chirp at 5 to 10 seconds intervals until the alarm is switched off, or if the alarm is not switched off within 30 seconds it will trigger the siren.
- If the deactivation button is not pressed in the designated time the siren will sound for 60 seconds or until the button is pressed. The siren will continue to sound in a 60-second cycle until the button is pressed.
